Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenbo Park (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) will be hosting "Summer Scenery at Tenbo Park," an event where visitors can comfortably enjoy "Japanese summer" without worrying about the weather or the intense heat, from July 9th (Thursday) to August 31st (Monday).
This summer, with the establishment of the "extreme heat day" designation, temperatures are expected to be higher than average nationwide*. At the indoor "Sky Park" located 251m above sea level, a "summer retreat in the sky" will appear, adorned with approximately 550 sunflowers, refreshing wind chimes, and pinwheels.
In the Observation Hill area, a photo spot surrounded by sunflowers on all sides has been set up. You can take a summery photo that makes it seem as if you've wandered into a field of sunflowers in full bloom, without worrying about sunburn or sweat. In addition, a spot featuring approximately 200 wind chimes and 50 pinwheels has been added for the first time, allowing you to experience the coolness unique to Japanese summer.
Additionally, on specific days during the event period, we will be holding activities perfect for children's summer vacation projects and crafts, such as "Making Original Wind Chimes," "Sunflower Seed Planting Experience," and "Astronomical Telescope Workshop." The adjacent "Tenbo Park CAFE" will be selling two types of "cream soda" for a limited time, inspired by the daytime and nighttime views from the observation deck.
Come and experience "Japanese summer" in a comfortable space where you can relax without worrying about the weather or the intense heat. Please visit Tenbo Park.
