Kyodo Printing Co., Ltd., fave Inc., and CRAZY BUMP Inc. will hold the "SOS Exhibition ~The Exhibition of Haruhi Suzumiya, Who Greatly Excited the World~," an exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the TV anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall D from August 10th, 2026 (Monday).
This exhibition is divided into two sections: the "Memories of Haruhi Suzumiya" section, which looks back on the story with valuable setting materials and photo spots such as the SOS Brigade's clubroom, and the "The Haruhi Suzumiya Phenomenon" section, which introduces the influence this work has had on modern culture from multiple perspectives.
We also plan to sell original merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations for this exhibition, as well as guidebooks containing information about the exhibition.
[What is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"?]
The "Haruhi Suzumiya" series is a science fiction-flavored school story based on a light novel published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito, featuring Haruhi Suzumiya as the leader of the unofficial school club, the "SOS Brigade."
In the 2006 TV anime adaptation, the story's chronological order was shuffled, and the dance to the ending theme "Hare Hare Yukai" became explosively popular on the internet, becoming a social phenomenon.
