main

A special market will be held throughout Ikebukuro, including Green Boulevard at the east exit of Ikebukuro Station!

Four companies, nest Inc., Grip Second Inc., Sunshine City Inc., and Muji Co., Ltd., are planning and running the "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP" project (sponsored by the Green Boulevard Area Management Council), which utilizes the Green Boulevard at the east exit of Ikebukuro Station, the gateway to Ikebukuro in Toshima Ward, to encourage people to move around the city and expand neighborhood communities throughout the area.

In 2025, markets were held in April, May, and June, but a special three-day "Special Market" will be held from November 1st (Saturday) to November 3rd (Monday, national holiday), a special three-day event held once a year. Craftsmen and producers from the Ikebukuro cultural area and across the country will line up on Green Boulevard and Minami-Ikebukuro Park, collaborating with local stores and facilities in the area to create a walking loop around the city, creating a fun and enjoyable daily life.

Overview of "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP"

IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP utilizes Green Boulevard at the east exit of Ikebukuro Station, the gateway to Ikebukuro in Toshima Ward, to turn the street into a hub for cultivating the neighborhood community and the future of the city. Working in collaboration with businesses and stores based in Toshima Ward and Ikebukuro, the project will host markets on Green Boulevard and Minami-Ikebukuro Park, and conduct social experiments aimed at permanently installing street furniture, under the concept of "everyday life with urban living." The goal is to make downtown Ikebukuro as comfortable as a living room, a city in which people want to walk.

Highlights of "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP2025"

"FARM to STREET" is a shared street dining venue that connects producers and residents of the Ikebukuro area!

Along the Ikebukuro line, there are many areas with rich farmland and producers, including Nerima Ward, Itabashi Ward, and the Saitama area. "FARM to STREET" aims to connect the people of these areas with the people of Ikebukuro, and to create a cycle of culture and economy through food.
Chef Arai Naoyuki of Cadota prepares the dishes on the spot using vegetables from organic farms Yokota Farm and SOU FARM, which are farms in Ogawamachi, an organic farming village connected by the Tobu Tojo Line, as well as locally pressed oil and milled flour.
In addition to learning about native vegetables that have taken root in Ogawamachi, you can also enjoy food and wine while hearing directly from the producers about their thoughts and feelings.
Ogawamachi and Ikebukuro, fields and streets, producers and eaters.
Enjoy "FARM to STREET" as you connect with others and dine with others in the city while imagining the scenery beyond the food.
