Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store is currently undergoing a complete renovation, and following the reopening of its sweets and prepared foods section in September, the centerpiece of the department store renovation, the "BENTO Station," will open on Monday, November 10th.

As a department store directly connected to the terminal, the Ikebukuro main store has a high demand for bento boxes, and with this renovation, the store is expanding the bento selection in its "depachika" area to approximately 85 brands and 400 varieties. The newly opened "BENTO Station" will be the centerpiece of this bento selection. The station will offer a lineup of approximately 40 brands and 100 varieties to suit a variety of occasions, from classic bento boxes from famous restaurants to seasonal gourmet bento boxes and healthy bento boxes for the health-conscious. The store aims to be used for a wide range of purposes by local customers, commuters, and tourists. The store will also allow customers from overseas to try bento boxes, promoting the Japanese food culture of "BENTO."
