The four companies, nest Co., Ltd., Grip Second Co., Ltd., Sunshine City Co., Ltd., and Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., have been promoting the "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP" project since 2017, centering on the east exit area of Ikebukuro. (Organizer: Green Boulevard Area Management Council [*]) will start again this year.
This project in 2022 will be held as part of the 90th anniversary of the enforcement of the ward system in Toshima Ward, which promotes walkable town development that makes you want to walk comfortably.
Centering on Green Boulevard and Minami Ikebukuro Park located at the east exit of Ikebukuro Station, we will hold a market where you can spend a comfortable time like a living room in the city of Ikebukuro and social experiments for the permanent installation of street furniture.
Based on the concept of "everyday with a machinaka living room", we will hold a social experiment of street furniture that we have been conducting since last year and a market once every two months after May. In addition, we plan to collaborate with various companies, stores, and facilities in Ikebukuro. We will promote migration in the city and aim for a city that makes you want to walk.
* What is the Green Boulevard Area Management Council?
Known as GAM. An area management organization that was established in 2016 and is mainly composed of companies and shopping streets around Green Boulevard. Obtained a special provision of the Road Law concerning area management by the National Strategic Road Occupation Project stipulated in the National Strategic Special Zone Law.
Projects such as "Creation of international theater space (art festival)", "Creation of communication (open cafe)" and "Creation of liveliness (Marche)" using road space have become possible, and various events are being held.

Since 2017, "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP" has been held 5 times as an annual event. Shoppers from all over Japan, including Ikebukuro and along the Ikebukuro line, gathered for miscellaneous goods, food and drink, vegetables, workshops, etc., and lined up on Green Boulevard and Minami Ikebukuro Park. In collaboration with nearby stores and facilities, we have created a mood to enjoy the entire Ikebukuro like a living room by creating a mechanism to enjoy walking in the city. In the first year, with the aim of raising expectations and awareness of Green Boulevard, after that, we will conduct experiments on cozy furniture, lighting, and planting, and will involve updating the hardware of permanent benches, lighting, water supply and drainage facilities, and planting zones. It led to redevelopment. A long-term project of "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP" with the aim of creating a comfortable space for everyday life and normalizing the bustle from last year, as the scenery of living in the streets and towns has become established at the time of the event. As a result, we are implementing various contents.
