To celebrate the renewal, past popular films will be shown again
Konica Minolta Planetarium Manten in Sunshine City, operated by Konica Minolta Planetarium Co., Ltd., will be undergoing a system renewal.
In commemoration of the renewal, we will be reviving a screening of the popular film "Nekoseiyo – A Story of a Starry Sky One Day," which has been screened since February 2022.
Large-scale system renewal
Planetarium Manten (Ikebukuro), which celebrates its 20th anniversary on March 20, 2024, is a planetarium directly operated by Konica Minolta and was the forerunner of the Konica Minolta Planetarium. It is visited by over 300,000 people per year.
As part of this renovation, the digital planetarium system "Media Globe Σ SE" will be introduced and the number of projectors will be reduced from six to two, resulting in more beautiful images and improved contrast, resulting in a greater sense of immersion.
[Reopening] November 29th (Friday) from the 12:40pm screening
[Closed] Monday, November 11, 2024 to Thursday, November 28, 2024

A healing planetarium with soothing aromas
"Cat Starry Night -A Tale of a Starry Sky One Day-"
This is a soothing planetarium production in which the protagonist experiences a mysterious starry sky in a forest where he is led by a cat he meets one day.
We will also introduce the Milky Way, which cannot be seen in the city, shooting stars that are rarely encountered, constellations that are not very visible and are rarely introduced, and the now-mythical constellation "Penis."
The original aromas that can be smelled during the screening are Nekomorikou, a mix of silver vine and Nikukyukou, a gentle sweetness reminiscent of squishy paws.
Would you like to enjoy a special starry sky together in a space filled with an enchanting fragrance?
