Toshima Ward holds a free outdoor classic concert "Tokyo Music Evening Yube" about once a week at GLOBAL RING THEATER (1-8-26 Nishi-Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park).
In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we have resumed outdoor concert performances in September after live performances online from May. Currently, as a measure against corona, reserved seats of about 200 to 250 are set up, and advance lottery is held only for Tokyo residents, but all performances after resumption are full. The total number of applications for this performance was 473, which greatly exceeded the capacity. From the visitors, "I was able to listen to it with peace of mind because it was a performance in an open space even in the corona storm." "I was impressed to hear music that would wash my heart on my way home from work." I definitely want to go there. Kenjiro Kobayashi, nicknamed "The Maestro of Fire," will appear from 18:00 to 19:00 on Thursday, November 26th. On the occasion of the performance, Mr. Kobayashi commented, "I am grateful that Toshima Ward planned a concert to meet everyone's music in such a difficult situation."
The venue, Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park, will be illuminated with illuminations from tomorrow. The ward will take measures to prevent infection, such as thorough masking and temperature measurement, while providing an opportunity to experience a powerful classical performance even in the case of coronavirus.
