At Sunshine City (Ikebukuro, Tokyo), we will hold seasonal flower events throughout the year under the title of "Sunshine City is in full bloom! 2021" .

In addition, from January 7, 2021 (Thursday), the Sky Restaurant will offer a limited-time flower decoration menu and flower dress designer Hana who drew the main visual of "Sunshine City is flower decoration! 2021". We will be exhibiting "Flower language dresses" and dress illustrations produced in collaboration with Hanako Hana and dress maker Claudia.

The period from February 19th (Friday) to February 21st (Sunday), 2021 is the largest full-scale exhibition in Japan with the theme of "Christmas Rose," a flower that blooms dignifiedly and pretty in the harsh cold season. The 19th Christmas Rose World Exhibition "is held.

✿ What is Christmas Rose?

It is a plant of the family Ranunculaceae, which is the same as the hepatica and Amur adonis that bloom in early spring. The scientific name is Helleborus, and in Europe the English name Hellebores is common. In Europe, Helleborus niger (H.niger), which blooms in December, is called Christmas rose, and it is also called lenten rose because it blooms around the Christian sacred rent (Lent).

In Japan, all hellebores such as H. orientalis are usually called Christmas roses. The genus Hellebore has about 20 species and is a plant that grows naturally in Europe (with the exception of Tibetanus native to China), which is widely distributed mainly in eastern Europe. The Orientalis Hybrid is a durable, environmentally friendly type that you can enjoy with peace of mind in Japan.

Many original species are crossed, and there are various flower colors such as white, peach, red, purple, red purple, green, cream, and yellow, and each color has its own shade, so it is really lively. Double-flowered flowers are also popular.
