Introduction
The "Japan-Europe Three-Country Joint Exchange Exhibition" has been held every year in Tokyo since 2014 as an exchange exhibition between Japanese and overseas artists. It is often said that "Japan is a country with many art exhibitions", but most of them are special exhibitions, and the subjects are only artists whose academic evaluation has already been decided. In this exhibition, we have focused on domestic and foreign artists and writers who are engaged in creative activities in modern times, and have taken up the latest works.
This time, in addition to Japanese art and literary works, the exhibition of works by contemporary artists from Germany and Belgium, which are known as art powers, was decided, and 250 works from three countries were gathered.
We hope that you will come into contact with works of various genres and nationalities and feel the breath of the creators who are active in the present age.

Highlights
This time, the works of German and Belgian artists and the works of Japanese artists and literary artists who are active in Japan and abroad will be exhibited.
Germany is a European leader who excels in various fields such as economics and academia as well as the arts field, and is an old friend who has exchanged with Japan in the international community since the Meiji Restoration. In the field of art and culture, we have produced not only musicians such as Beethoven and Wagner, but also a wide variety of artists and writers of a wide range of ages from the Renaissance period to modern times such as Durer and Kandinsky.
Belgium, on the other hand, is an art powerhouse that inherits the genealogy of old Flemish paintings and has often swept the European art scene in the Northern Renaissance and elsewhere. Jan van Eyck, Rubens, Bruegel the Elder, Rembrandt, Vermeer, etc. in the old days, and Rene Magritte, James Ensor, etc. in modern times are just a few.
In addition to paintings and crafts, works of various genres such as ink painting, calligraphy, photography, tanka, haiku, and poetry will be exhibited from Japan. A unique expression space where tradition and modernity coexist is produced, and even in this international exhibition, works suitable for representing contemporary Japanese art and culture are lined up.
The opportunity for the works of contemporary German and Belgian artists to be shown in Japan is extremely valuable. Please take this opportunity to see the co-starring of artists who are making great strides in the world.
