~With the cooperation of Nippan Group's "Hiraku," the new theme for the lobby area is "Where to next?"~
Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro (hereinafter referred to as "the Hotel"), operated by Tokyu Resorts & Stays Co., Ltd. in Ikebukuro, is pleased to announce that a full renovation of the guest rooms, lobby, and other areas has been completed and the hotel will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The lobby area has been transformed into a "Travel Library" with the cooperation of Hiraku Co., Ltd. of the Nippan Group.
■A hotel where you can design a new journey while enjoying your stay and discovering new books
The hotel will undergo a complete renovation of its guest rooms, lobby, and other areas, and will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The guest rooms and lobby areas each have new themes, creating a more comfortable space than ever before.
In the simple, bright, and clean guest rooms, the desks have been replaced with dining tables, and the chairs can be moved freely to customize the layout to your liking. Tokyu Stay's breakfast "Stay Morning +" is also available, so you can enjoy a hot meal at any time you like, even while traveling, just like you would at home.
The lobby area has been renovated into a "Travel Library" with approximately 100 books lined up, with the cooperation of Hiraku Co., Ltd., a member of the Nippan Group. It has become a space where you can discover new books to help you relax, or to get hints for making travel plans, and to design a new trip that is unique to you.
■New guest rooms that give you more freedom to "live like a local"
Our hotel has completely renovated its guest rooms under a new concept called "Theater Dining." The desks in the rooms have been replaced with dining tables, and the chairs can be moved freely, allowing guests to customize the room to suit their needs.
Furthermore, all rooms are equipped with highly user-friendly facilities such as microwaves and refrigerators with freezers, as well as drum-type washing and drying machines, transforming the rooms into clean, comfortable and safe spaces.
In addition, Tokyu Stay's breakfast service "Stay Morning +" is also available, allowing you to enjoy a hot meal in your room. Simply choose ingredients from the corner in the lobby, cook rice in your room, and heat soup and side dishes in the microwave, allowing you to easily enjoy a warm meal even while traveling.
Our new "Theatre Dining" guest room not only makes it easy to dine in your room, but also caters to the individual lifestyles of each guest, serving as a place to relax, work, or plan your day, turning the table into a stage and creating a space where your own unique story can be told.
■ "Travel Library" where you can discover books and design your trip
A bright and open "Travel Library" will be opening in the lobby with the cooperation of Hiraku Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of book professionals Nippon Shuppan Hanbai Co., Ltd., which operates Bunkitsu, a "bookstore where you can discover books."
The theme is "Where to next?" and we have about 100 books in four genres: "Japanese culture!", "COVER at HARAKADO", "Take a break…" and "Ikebukuro!". On the back of each book, we provide information on related spots to support customers who are unsure of their travel plans according to their mood on the day.
In addition, to commemorate the opening of the "Travel Library," we plan to hold events based on the keywords "Book Director" and "Local Guide Gacha."
■ Enjoy a leisurely morning in your room. A new set is now available that lets you enjoy freshly cooked rice in your room.
In conjunction with this renewal, we will also be offering a new breakfast service called "Stay Morning +". Choose from two types of breakfast: the "Easy Set" which only requires heating in the microwave, or the "Rice Bowl Set" which allows you to enjoy freshly cooked rice in your room. With the aim of reducing food waste, we have a wide selection of healthy and tasty menu items, including frozen soups made by "GREEN SPOON" that are full of vegetables, and Japanese side dishes.
