Vegetarian Butcher Japan Co., Ltd. will reopen "The Vegetarian Butcher" in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from 11:30 on August 25, 2021 (Wednesday).

The Vegetarian Butcher is a PBM startup venture founded in the Netherlands in 2011. In December 2018, Unilever, a major food and daily necessities company, attracted attention for its acquisition in anticipation of market expansion. In 2019, we collaborated with Burger King, a global hamburger chain, to launch "REBEL WAPPER" in 25 European countries. (Currently sold in 45 countries around the world) It is now the most powerful PBM brand in Europe.

This is the first initiative in Asia. We have a plant-based butcher shop inside the store. All of them are sold by weight starting from 2 yen per gram and can be used only by plant-based butchers.

This is Japan's first initiative. For the purpose of reducing food waste, we have set up a dedicated refrigerator in the store, and we put surplus ingredients in the store and dishes that have been canceled. Customers who use the store can take it home for free.

Chef Tetsuo Ohira has trained in restaurants around the world for many years and has produced numerous restaurants. Please enjoy various dishes made using TVB products supervised by such a chef to your heart's content.

We carry out pesticide-free hydroponics using LED lights in the vacant space inside the store. Vegetables grown in the store are used in the cooking of the store.

The fabric used in this brand's food loss series is dyed with vegetables to be discarded. In addition, the organic series uses carefully selected organic fabrics. The brand tag is an eco-friendly recycled paper made by recycling used paper that has become waste paper and squeezing various vegetable seeds. If you soak it in water overnight and bury it in the soil, it will germinate in a few days and eventually three kinds of vegetables will grow.
